Preparation
Before we get spraying, you’ll need to prepare your privacy screen and workspace. Place your drop sheet in a well-ventilated area to protect your surroundings from spray mist. Remember to put on your mask and gloves to protect yourself.
Now, let’s dive into the project.
Step 1: Priming
Start with a clean, dry surface. Apply a coat of Montana Universal PRIMER to the area. This step ensures a smooth, uniform surface for the Montana GOLD colors to adhere to. Make sure you spray evenly across the area and let it dry completely before proceeding.
Step 2: Adding Color
Now comes the fun part! Choose your preferred Montana GOLD colors and shake the can well before use, best to turn it upside down. Using the Montana Flatjet cap medium, spray your first color onto the area. Spray lightly and evenly from about 15-20cm away. Let the first color dry before applying the next one.
To create depth and contrast, use three shades of each color. Start with the darkest shade and finish with the lightest. Remember to let each color dry before adding the next one.
Step 3: Sealing the paint
Once you’re satisfied with your color application and the privacy screen is fully dry, it’s time to seal the paint with Montana VARNISH Spray Gloss. This not only adds a glossy finish but also provides extra protection, making your privacy screen more durable and easier to clean.
