Materials Needed

Pre-Treatment

Before diving into the painting process, ensure that both the wall and sill are thoroughly cleaned. Remove any dust or debris, and make sure the workspace is clean, dry, and well-ventilated. This step is crucial for achieving a flawless finish.

Step-by-Step Guide

Prepare the Workspace: Lay down a drop sheet to protect surrounding surfaces from spray mist. Put on a mask and gloves to safeguard yourself from paint particles. Tape all the edges carefully to make sure the paint gets in the right corners.

Painting the Wall Niche

First, prime the wall with an appropriate PRIMER from the Montana Cans Tech Spray Line. This ensures the best possible foundation to apply further coats of spray paint. Let everything dry fully and wipe the surface clean of dust. Continue by shaking the Montana GOLD Line spray paint in pink for 2-3 minutes to ensure thorough mixing.

Hold the can upright and spray the paint onto the wall niche in smooth, even strokes. Start from the top and work your way down, maintaining a consistent distance from the surface.

Allow the first coat to dry completely before applying additional coats as needed for full coverage.

Painting the Sill

Similarly, shake the Montana GOLD Line spray paint in green before use. Tape the wall so nothing else apart from the wooden sill gets painted.

Spray the green paint onto the sill, covering it evenly with a vibrant burst of color. Take care to apply the paint slowly and carefully to avoid drips or uneven coverage.

Allow the first coat to dry thoroughly before applying a second coat if necessary.

Adding Marble Effect to the Sill

Once the green paint has dried completely, shake the Montana Marble Effect spray paint in white.

Hold the can at a distance and spray the Marble Effect paint lightly over the green surface of the sill. This will create a mesmerizing marble-like pattern, adding depth and texture to the design.

Allow the Marble Effect paint to dry fully before proceeding. As a last step, seal the surface with the transparent Montana Cans Varnish Spray in either gloss, semi-gloss or matte.

Final Touches

Once all layers of paint have dried, inspect the wall niche and sill for any touch-ups or imperfections.

Remove the drop sheet and tape and clean up any stray paint particles from the workspace.

Step back and admire your handiwork – the revitalized wall niche and sill now exude a modern and unique interior vibe, courtesy of Montana Cans. It is ready to be decorated with pieces that match the new look of the corner, making it the main attraction in your home!
